HOME STUDY & ACADEMY OPTIONS
Julian Charter School offers both Home Study and Academy options. We are one school, with many programs, designed to meet the needs of the students we serve. JCS Home Study & Learning Centers
The JCS Home Study program is a program designed for students whose parents are actively involved in their education. The parents have a strong sense of what they want their children to study and are actively involved in the lesson planning, instructing, and correcting of assignments for their children. Home study students, as well as their parents, have face-to-face meetings with their Educational Facilitator at least once every 20 school days for a minimum of one hour per student per meeting. During these meetings, the Educational Facilitator reviews ALL assignments, collects samples to include in the required monthly paperwork, discusses any problems or areas of concern that may have occurred during the month, and assigns, with parental input, the next month’s assignments. The student’s personal interests are incorporated into the assignments as well as activities and assignments that complement his/her learning style(s). JCS Learning Centers are designed for students in our Home Study program. Once enrolled in the Home Study program, students can sign up using their educational units to attend Learning Center classes held on Friday at our San Diego, Ramona and Temecula Learning Centers. Learning Center classes are taught by our credentialed staff and focus on both academic and elective subjects. For more information about our Learning Center programs click here.
JCS Academies
Julian Charter School has 10 exceptional academy programs across the San Diego and Riverside county areas. Each academy is unique and personalized to fit the needs of its students. Students in our academy programs attend class 2-4 days a week, depending on the academy, and spend the remainder of the school week doing their work at home.

JCS INSITE
The INSITE program offers JCS high school students an independent study option which provides daily support from teachers who are able to work with each student’s strengths.
